Overview
Dickies Medical, a leading provider of healthcare apparel, undertook a significant campaign for Spring 2024 to introduce a new line of medical apparel while revitalizing staple collections. The campaign aimed to highlight the versatility and functionality of the apparel both within and outside of the medical profession, capturing the essence of life and work balance.
Objective
The primary goal was to showcase multiple new collections alongside re-introduced staples in a compelling and cohesive manner. Located in Venice Beach, CA, the campaign sought to infuse a vibrant, lifestyle-oriented atmosphere into the traditionally functional world of medical apparel. The challenge lay in managing production timelines and ensuring timely availability of samples and production items for the shoot.
Concept
The concept centered around portraying the dual aspects of life—professionalism within the medical field and the personal lives of healthcare workers outside of work. This approach aimed to humanize the brand and resonate with both medical professionals and consumers by showcasing the apparel in real-life settings.
Execution
A diverse team of designers, photographers, videographers, and creatives collaborated to bring the vision to life. They crafted product trims, designed catalogs and lookbooks, and produced social media and digital assets, as well as video and photography both on location in Venice Beach and in studio. A key highlight was the creation of a documentary film featuring interviews with real medical workers, providing authentic insights into their lives and experiences.
Results
Despite logistical challenges in production and sample acquisition, the campaign was executed seamlessly. The comprehensive launch included a robust array of marketing assets that effectively communicated the brand’s message and showcased the new and staple collections. The campaign garnered positive feedback from both the healthcare community and consumers, reinforcing Dickies Medical’s position as a trusted provider of functional and stylish healthcare apparel.
